Kōtuitui
A small Discord bot for scheduled-event coordination, with optional Google Calendar synchronization.
What it does
- Shows interested attendees. The
/interestedcommand shows members who marked a Discord scheduled event as Interested. The response is ephemeral. - Syncs by choice. You can connect Google Calendar and enable synchronization when you want to copy your interested events.
- Updates event copies. While synchronization is enabled, Kōtuitui can create and update the Google Calendar copies it made. Disabling synchronization queues their removal.
How it works
- Mark yourself Interested on a scheduled event in Discord.
- Connect Google Calendar and enable synchronization.
- Kōtuitui backfills relevant interested events and processes later changes for your opted-in connection.
Stop calendar synchronization
Run /calendar disconnect in Discord to completely opt out. Kōtuitui stops synchronization, cancels pending connections, attempts to remove its event copies and revoke Google access, and deletes your stored Google credentials and calendar sync records.
If Google cleanup cannot be confirmed, the private command response tells you what to remove manually in Google Calendar or your Google Account. Your Discord event interests are unchanged.
To stop synchronization but keep your connection, use /calendar disable. To opt in again after disconnecting, run /calendar connect, then /calendar enable.
A narrow scope
Kōtuitui is a guild-only bot. It uses Discord scheduled-event information and the interactions needed for its commands. It is not configured with Discord’s message-content intent and does not read ordinary channel messages.
